Calm a Crying Baby
Expert Q&A
Question:
When is it appropriate to serve juice to a baby?
Answer:
Around 6 to 8 months is the right time to introduce juice, but not citrus, which may irritate. Always serve 100 percent fruit juice to children to insure the best nutrition.

Citrus juices and tomato juice are OK at eight months and older. About 4 ounces a day is appropriate, because we don't want juice to displace breast milk or formula, which have more of the nutrients baby needs during the critical first year.
