Calm a Crying Baby
Expert Q&A
Question:
One of infant twins is suffering from colic, and they share a room. Should I separate them?
Answer:
If your other twin is not demonstrating signs of distress, I'd suggest that you not make any changes at this point. Even in infancy, twins can be very good at adapting to each other's sounds, movements and moods. In addition, since all seems calm, a move could be more disruptive than the crying. You can always reevaluate at any time. If you find that the crying is beginning to cause your other baby to have interrupted sleep, you can always separate them at that point."
