Expert Q&A
I love camping, but my wife doesn't. I'm really excited about taking our 7-month-old daughter camping with me for a few days, but we're a little anxious about her being away from Mom. Should we go?
From a doctor's standpoint, there is no reason she couldn't go camping. Your daughter will do just fine two to three days away from Mom as long as she is getting the attention she needs. Another idea might be to take along another familiar face like a grandparent for times that you might be away from her. As long as you have trust in those camping with you to care for the child, you both should have a great time."
