Jenna's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
Introduction
Well, my baby is no longer a baby -- I guess. Today, she is 1 year old. I like to think of it more as the second anniversary of her 6 month birthday. I can't believe it has been a year. One year ago today at this very minute, I had a five hour old baby in my arms. It was a Saturday. It seems as if it should only have been a few weeks ago. I can still remember the pain, the excitement. I can still remember my mother telling my husband to check and make sure she was a girl. After all the boys, she didn't want to risk not checking right away. I remember her hair and her nose. I remember my barely 1-year-old Aaron saying "baby" when he saw her. It just couldn't have been a year ago.
I don't remember when I began writing these diaries. I would think it had been at least four months ago. I was so good, at first. I was always on time and it seems that I always had something to write about. It seems the bigger and more mobile my Anne has gotten the worse and worse I am about writing entries. Now, I will only been writing for Toddlers Today and Preschoolers Today. Maybe that will be easier for me. Or maybe not.
Anne's birthday party will be on Saturday. I guess by then I'll have to come to grips with the fact that she is a toddler. She can say so many "words," but she cannot walk. She can sit and feed herself, but she does still nurse. She parallel plays beside Aaron, but when he plays too rough, she still needs Mommy. She is getting bigger and smarter and older every day, but she still is my baby, and I am pretty sure she will always be.
This picture was taken in November. These will be our Christmas cards.
Merry Christmas to all ...
