Introduction
Gosh, I can't believe how time is flying by. Jack is now 7 months old and has his first ear infection. Yuck! He is doing better now, but last week was pretty rough for him. I would much rather have my happy baby and I'm glad he's back now. When I took him to the doctor he stilled weighed 20 pounds, so no real growth has happened. He is still trying to crawl, but hasn't figured it out yet. Other than that, not much is happening with him.
We are pretty busy with our new house right now. Painting will be started later this week. It is actually going to get done, I can hardly believe it. It is fun to pick out all the colors, but it's been hard with the two little ones in tow. In another month or so we should be moving in. Wow!!! I am excited for that day to finally come. Now we just need to find a reliable renter for the house we live in now.
Chuck got a new job and starts next Monday, December 18. We are all so excited because he will have way better hours and actually be home every evening. It also has great benefits and better pay too. He's been applying for this job for about six years now and finally got on. They are a hard company to get on with, but definitely worth all the waiting!
By the way, I've been the crafty mom lately. Jack's new room is going to be red (the walls) and I've sewn him a new bed ensemble. It is turning out so cute!!! It makes it all worthwhile when things turn out as they are supposed to. I can't wait to put it all on the crib, but I told myself I had to wait until we moved so it would be something special. Hattie is going to get new bedding too as her room will have a garden theme. We are going to go pick out the fabric today, she's really excited and wants it to be a floral.
I guess that is all for now. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season (hopefully we'll get our tree up this week -- it's just so hectic around our house this year).
Melissa :)
