Introduction
I can't believe he had his first Christmas!
Andrew's first Christmas was pretty uneventful. He didn't like ripping the paper as much as his brother did at this age, but he did love that Santa brought him some really neat musical toys and seemed to enjoy watching Matthew play with his toys as much as he did his own. In all honesty, I think he mostly enjoyed helping Matthew play with ALL the toys.
He still isn't mobile yet but really would like to be. He's trying but isn't quite there yet. The presents at Christmas were a great incentive. He would see something he wanted but that was just out of his reach and he'd get on all fours and rock for all he was worth. I imagine he'll be crawling any day now. He rolls now from front to back, which he hadn't been doing before, but still not with as much ease as from front to back.
My family spoiled him with some great V-Tech toys this year -- all of them play music and the ones that play music AND blink have his baby stamp of approval.
My big disappointment this year is that we didn't capture Christmas morning on videotape. I found the camera in time for Disneyland. The super-duper lithium battery made it through that trip, but didn't have enough oomph to get through Christmas and I couldn't find the recharger cables. I have since gotten a new one this week I want to videotape the boys playing with their toys. I was able to take still pictures while they opened their presents, so I guess that's better than nothing.
Another holiday season navigated -- here's hoping Y2K turns out to be a big dud since I'm in disaster recovery and just started a new job this week.
Cheers!
