Introduction

Hello everyone!

This will be my last entry before the year 2000!!!!

I am feeling 100 percent better on the cold and 70 percent better on the morning sickness. My morning sickness comes and goes now instead of staying around all day long! I am happy about this.

Dakota will be 8 months Jan. 5. He is now pulling himself up on furniture and letting go with one hand thinking he is big stuff, then he falls on his bottom. He loves to stand now and gets mad when he falls. I love watching him learn these things.

He is not sleeping at night now. He will go to bed and then wake up a few hours later screaming and crying and then we will calm him and get him back to sleep and then he will proceed to wake up every hour on the hour screaming and crying!!! What should I do, let him cry it out?!?!?! Adam wants to do that but it kills me to listen to him and not pick him up. Adam will go in and pat him on the back and calm him down. I want to pick him up and rock him but Adam gets mad and wants him to learn to put himself to sleep. It is hard not getting sleep and being pregnant; I mean, I am tired just from being pregnant and put no sleep on top of it and I am a walking zombie! Any suggestions are welcome with regards to how to get him to sleep all night long.

He is now eating food three times a day: cereal in the morning, lunch (mac and cheese or something like that) and then dinner (rice and chicken or something like that), plus his bottles. That sounds like a lot, but he is eating it and he is getting slimmer since he is so mobile.

I am now 11 weeks pregnant. I think I wrote about my doctor appointment last week and hearing the heartbeat. I hate that these things are so far behind then I forget what I told you and what I didn't!! (babybrain) I had to break out the maternity pants. I know it's early and everything but all my pants for work are getting too tight and I hate tight clothes and plus they were hurting my belly. I hope you all don't mind me keeping a pregnancy diary here also. I figure I will do both right here.

Well, I started my new job in my new department with that man that I hate so much and luckily he is not speaking to me all that much. I am glad about that. Maybe word got around to him that he is a jerk to me and he decided to lighten up. Needless to say I am enjoying the work but not enjoying the people I work with. The girls I work with are like high school girls and they are my age or older. I don't have the time or energy for that kind of stuff so I ignore them.

Dakota had his first Christmas and loved it. We had our Christmas here at our house in the morning. My mom and step-dad came over and spoiled Dakota with all kinds of stuff. I asked my dad to come but he wouldn't and neither would Adam's mom which kind of disappointed me. But oh well, they have their families, too. Then we went out to my dad's and then went to Adam's brother's and then went to my mom's house. Needless to say, it was a very long day for me and Dakota was a cranky pants most of the day and I fully understand why. People he didn't even know were coming up and grabbing at him and talking in his face and I would be scared, too. So we got him home after quite an ordeal at my mom's house and gave him a warm bath and put him to bed. He smiled as soon as he got home. I just love that little boy!

Well, I better get to bed while Dakota is sleeping...

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

Hugs to all your little ones.

Monique
