40 Weeks!

Jessica is into everything! I can't believe how well she can get around without really crawling. She just rolls and wiggles and squirms, and she can get anywhere she wants to! Yesterday she was on the kitchen floor while I made dinner, and she managed to find a piece of Kibbles'n'Bits dog food! When I looked at her, she had brown stuff on her chin that looked like it had dribbled out of her mouth.. and sure enough there was a piece of dog food in her mouth. I fished it out and cleaned her up.. but YUCK!

This weekend Carl went to get Jessica out of her crib after a nap, and he said she was standing there waiting for him when he got there! I didn't know whether to believe him or not.. but sure enough, the next day I put her down for a nap, and when I went to get her she was standing there grinning at me! She has done that about four or five times now.. and every time she is SO proud of herself! I love it!

Melissa is at camp this week. We dropped her off on Sunday, and her mother will pick her up this Sunday. After we dropped her off, Carl and Jessica and I went to Lake Placid. We ate lunch at The Black Bear Restaurant, and then walked around town a bit. ESPN's Great Outdoor Games were there. We didn't know that until we got there and saw all the signs. We ended up watching the Timber Relay, which was the last event of the weekend. It was really cool. We had watched The Great Outdoor Games on TV before, so to be there in person was pretty neat. Carl says that during one of the breaks between events, one of the cameras followed Jessica and I across the parking lot.. so maybe Jessica will be on ESPN this weekend! Wouldn't that be awesome?! She IS really cute.. how could anyone resist getting her on film?!!

I think that's all the news I have for now.. and I hear my beautiful daughter calling me from her crib (you say "crying", I say "calling").. so I am off!

Until next time...
