Anne's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Introduction

Well, we had a great Christmas. We all went to my mom's house to exchange gifts on Sunday night. Right when everyone was showing up (I went a bit early) G came down with a nasty 102 degree fever. He was so lethargic and snuggly. The next day we went to church and dinner with my parents and he was still miserable. We ended up skipping Christmas dinner at my brother's house. The poor kid just wasn't in any shape to be moved again. So, Ron and I and G had a nice quiet Christmas day at home.
Ron's other kids are at their mom's house for the holidays. I've enjoyed it. Next year they will be with us. It's not like they won't be back in a few days.

Sunday G and I are going north of San Diego on Sunday for a week of R and R. Actually, we'll be going with my sister and her 5 kids. That should be interesting. We are staying at a place right near lego land. I'm sure we'll have fun. Since G still wasn't up to par, DH and I took him to the hospital to make sure he did or didn't have an ear infection. I wanted to make sure so that when we travel on Sunday I won't be surprised if he screams. Well, he has a slight ear infection in his left ear - again but hopefully, the drigs will kick in before we go.

G is walking more and more. He impressed everyone last weekend by showing off at the family's house. I'm so proud of him. A few times this week he has clapped his hands too. He's still pretty unpredictable. I'm still waiting for his first sign to me for "more," "eat," or "milk." We've been working on it but he doesn't do anything when prompted. It has to be when he's ready. Lately, since he's been feeling bad, he's become quite the boy with a temper. He gets frustrated quickly and gets upset quite a lot now. I hope it's just theis ear infection thing and this temper phase will pass.

Talk to you all later.
Anne and G

p.s. he was 22 lbs at the hospital tonight. And when I get back from our trip I'll have a new web address for pictures. They aren't up yet but I'll let you all know.
