Hurry Up and Wait!
September 11, 2006
Yep. Hurry up and wait it out. We are counting down the days until my amnio. I haven't had one before so the idea of a needle the size of the Grand Canyon going into my abdomen (ok I'm being a little over dramatic) doesn't appeal to me at all. The amnio is scheduled for September 21st and I am driving myself. I hope that isn't a bad thing. Nobody I know has ever had one except my MIL and she said she blocked that memory a long time ago. Anyway, we are 35 weeks 2 days. Praise the Lord!!!!! We have almost made it 10 weeks since I first tried to go into labor at 26 weeks. I feel completely blessed right now.
Today we met Chris (Dh) at his work for lunch. It was nice to get out but once the baby comes I can tell we won't be spending a whole lot of time outside the house. It was like a zoo on Sunday just to take our two kids out for lunch. We didn't look like we had it together at all. The service was horrible and now I know why families partake in fast food as much as they do. Waiting is agony with multiple kids especially ones that are hungry and tired. Luckily today's lunch went well and as I drove past the fire station, they had the truck parked outside with an American Flag on top of the ladder. It is hard to remember what I was doing at the time of the attacks and so very hard to forget what it did to our country. My heart goes out to everyone that was affected during this horrible event in our history.
Not much to report on Kaitlyn's journey to the terrible two's. She definitely has the word "NO" perfected and even enjoys saying it multiple times to her brother even when he hasn't asked her to do anything. There practically isn't a word that she can't say now so listening to the two of them have a conversation, especially in the car, is quite amusing for me.
Cooler temperatures have moved upon us in the suburbs. I think there is a 20 degree difference of us and where our parents live in Central Illinois. I really don't like the weather here. It is very unpredictable and our tree out back is almost completely changed for Fall. Chris thinks its the hormones, but I still want to chop it down for it's premature fall preview it has given me. Like I said, I may be hormonal but goodness that tree has got to go. It is the only one that has completely changed out of all of them in our neighborhood. Anyway, Thanks for reading!!!
God Bless
Bridget, Dylan, Kaitlyn, & Baby #3 due soon
