Please Have a Seat!
August 24, 2006
Please have a seat. Yep that is right. Dylan went for his preschool assessment today and I was told to hang back and have a seat. For once in my life I wasn't in control of my son's life. It felt weird sitting there not knowing what was being asked and how he did with his ABC's. Swirls of questions floated through my head as I looked at all the brightly colored decorations on the wall of the preschool. I can't believe we are already sending one to school. I know it's only preschool but I still had a moment or two while I was sitting there.
Kaitlyn took a trip to the babysitters today so I could take Dylan to school. She played and her new favorite word is "cool". I'm assuming she learned it from her brother. She also has to have her toenails painted everytime I paint my own. She always says, "Mommy Toes" and points to her feet. She won't leave me alone until I paint hers too. She just turned 21 months this past weekend. Time is flying back too quickly. We put her in a toddler bed this past weekend also. She transitioned like it was no big deal. I was surprised to actually see that it didn't bother her one bit. On the other hand, she is a pretty mellow kid so I guess I shouldn't be that shocked.
On the baby front, we had another episode of bleeding but that has since been resolved. We are probably going to be induced at 37 wks. So that leaves the countdown of a little over four weeks to go. We had another ultrasound yesterday and the baby weighed ~4 lbs 12oz give or take a few ounces.
Thanks for Reading!
God Bless
