Holy Tantrum Batman!
June 11, 2006
Hello again,
Well we have almost hit the terrible two's early with Kaitlyn. She really knows, probably from her brother, how to throw a tantrum. She now arches her back and launches her body in the air all the while trying to weaken your grasp on her. It is one mega tantrum. I usually ignore her but today the production was so dramatic I almost had to clap at her performance. Whew that one was an Academy Ward Winner.
Anyway. ok more on her when she was more of a baby instead of a tantrum throwing drama girl. :) Kaitlyn was born late and being the naive mom that I was I thought that all babies were alike and she would arrive early just like her brother (He was two weeks early so technically term but early to me) My due date came and past and two days later I didn't realize that you could have a baby that quick. Dylan's labor was very slow to progress and required some pitocin along with 20 very grueling hours. (Such wonderful stuff :( ) So Kaitlyn decided to make her entrance short and sweet. I didn't have time for an epidural and our hospital is in Lake Forest, which is about 35-40 minutes depending on traffic, so that made for an interesting trip. Anything in the suburbs or near Chicago time wise is always interesting depending on rush hour traffic. She arrived thirty minutes after I got there and I was lucky I didn't deliver her in the parking lot. I was in so much pain, I was bound and bent not to move from my spot slumped against the car. My husband convinced me it would be much better for me and the baby if I tried to make it inside of the hospital. I did and she came short after that. She was a good baby and took off when I was breastfeeding. I didn't have so much luck with her brother but Kaitlyn was breastfed for 13 months. She crawled at 8 months and to our surprise walked a little bit earlier than her brother at 13 months. She has been running ever since.
Anyway on the baby front, nothing new. Baby is still breech and Kaitlyn refers to my belly and my legs as the baby. I think she believes my belly button is some kind of button and walkie talkie in order to talk to the baby because she is always pushing on it and yelling to the baby.
Well thanks for reading and until next time,
Bridget, Dylan, Kaitlyn, and Baby Girl
