Bridget's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Hello, Goodbye.

May 28, 2008

Summer Temps are teasing us again. We experienced a slight increase and went to 80 on Memorial Day and then wham back down to 58 on Tuesday. BOOOOO.

We played outside and had friends over. Megan wouldn't stop trying to climb the stairs on the deck. Which is annoying. I tried to keep her off of it but finally we had to block them off and she was upset. She cried until we took her inside. Next summer will be a lot easier on me. It just seems like she is into everything that she isn't suppose to be into. Yesterday I caught her trying to eat rocks. Why? She doesn't normally put things in her mouth so why a rock and why now. Did it look yummy? I doubt it.

Dylan has three days of school left and he is officially a big kid. so he tells me. T-Ball starts in a week so hopefully that will keep him busy.

On to issues with our back yard. We want to get the kids a wooden playset but the only problem is our backyard is sloped. We must go with a Rainbow that is WAY TO EXPENSIVE if you ask me for a swingset. I don't know. Dh and I are arguing about it but in the end, they have to have something to do and we can always take it with us if we move again.

Dylan sliced his thumb with a thorn from the pricker bushes yesterday. I had to dig the thorn out after I told him three times to stop digging in our rocks that this would eventually happen. He didn't listen. He hasn't been listening well at all lately. Last night he threw the mother of all fits and ending up crying himself to sleep because he was exhausted and upset over a drink. Geez. I sat down last night and was mentally exhausted.

Dh painted the basement last Saturday and hopefully will get to relax this coming weekend. We are headed on vacation, well we are all in SIL wedding if that counts as a vacation, doubt it, but in a week. I get to pack five people for 10 days. Don't know how I'm going to manage that, I guess I will wash but it is going to be interesting. Then we have the reunion on Father's Day weekend. Life is just getting busy and I already want to take a nice long nap.

Anyway
God Bless
Bridget,
mommy to Dylan (5), Kaitlyn (3 1/2), & Megan (19 months)
