Hi Spring, Bye Spring!

April 9, 2007

Well as I am typing this, it is a whole 38 degrees here today. We had nice temperatures for a while and then wham Spring left as quick as it came. I guess it really doesn't get warm here until almost June. BOOOO.

Anyway, our friends just had their baby and they named her Callie Anne. Very cute name and she is such a cute baby. Her head is perfectly round for a natural delivery. Mom and baby were doing great after we saw them on Friday.

My SIL and brother are gearing up for a c-section for their second baby. They are planning on naming her Dehlilia Marie and calling her Lilia. They already have a two year old named Luke. So they are having their c-section on Friday the 13th. Not sure about that date but I'm hoping things go smoothly.

Seems like a season of babies. Our cousin just had their baby Carson Oliver last week too.

Anyway, Megan is sitting well now and can enjoy her bath sitting in the tub. She splashes and giggles and just reminds me how big she is getting. She started pushing up and pulling her legs under her I think getting ready for the whole crawling thing. I'm not ready for that. She will be mobile then and I won't be able to do as much because she will be in to everything.

We had a nice Easter weekend and the kids had fun collecting Easter Eggs. It was hard trying to explain to them the true meaning of Easter when there are all of these eggs everywhere. Dylan definitely gets the fact that Jesus die and rose again but Kaitlyn just asked for more m & m's. Hmmm I guess we will work on that next year. The weather was terrible and I had to put a shirt under Katie's dress. It seems like places that make kid's easter dresses don't realize that places like Illinois, it is still freezing cold here. They make them sleeveless so I guess to get us to buy the sweater too. Who knows. I cooked a large dinner because my in-laws and sister in law were here. We went to church and then my cooking began. The day went by too quickly. As I looked at our friends baby I began to realize that my baby is already starting to look less like a baby.

So Katie pooped on the potty this past weekend kinda. I saw that she was getting ready to go so I took her and put her on the potty and she cried but went. We then clapped for her so maybe the experience wasn't too traumatic for her. She is so independent I guess it is going to have to be in her time. She is in pull-ups, which does help so she can pull them up and down but geez I would love to stop buying them. They are expensive.

Overall I hope everyone had a great Easter. Blessed be this day that he rose again!!!
