How much does your baby weigh? And how does that weight compare to other babies? Our baby weight calculator determines your baby's percentile and offers a general idea of potential future growth. Will your baby be stocky like Mom or tall and thin like Dad? Find out now!
This calculator seems to be approx. the same as what my ped. tells us. However, please note that the US standards have recently come "under fire" because they reflect a large proportion of formula-fed babies. Breastfed babies generally weigh less than their formula-fed counterparts and this is considered a "healthier" and more accurate comparison tool. I believe the WHO has constructed a percentile diagram using those measurements and several drs. (esp. those that are big proponents of BFing) are using those measurements. This could account for the discrepancy.
This calculator works fine, although not one hundred percent accuracy, but I think it can fairly be used as a prediction. I get a lot of useful information from this site and several other baby websites. Thanks.
Why is this calculator different than that of the doctors office?? This determines a lower percentile than what my doctor says.
You should have this tool in metric units (i.e. Kilograms)
Doctor's stats say my son is in the 66th% at 1 month with 10.10 lbs. This site says he is in the 33rd%.
