This calculator is inaccurate. It isn't anywhere close to what official weight charts say. I wonder if it's based on anecdotal data from very recently. Given the obesity epidemic in the US and number of mothers with diabetes, that data wouldn't be appropriate to use to calculate a healthy weight.
Yea how does this work? A baby that weighs more is on a lower percentile? Its not correct.
It is not accurate. According to the calculator, a 4 month old that weighs 14 pounds, 5 ounces is in a higher percentile than a 4 month old that weighs 14 pounds, 13 ounces.
something's wrong with the calculations - my 3 mo old came up as 31% where the CDC chart has her listed near 75% for a 12# 11 oz weight
I like it, I think that it is accurate. They take a poll of babies 1-36 months that is only based on weight. What your baby weighs is compared to other babies weights. If you want true accuracy I'm sure your pediatrician has the proper tools in the office.
