Moms of infants are generally hyperaware of germs and keeping their baby healthy
anyway, but when something like the swine flu becomes headline news, it's hard
not to panic just a little bit. However, knowing how to lower the chance of you
or your baby becoming infected will go a long way to help prevent further spread
of the swine flu – and give you peace of mind.
Swine flu, like other flu viruses, is an airborne illness spread through the respiratory tract. |

When the virus that causes swine flu in pigs combines with human influenza virus and then mutates to allow itself to infect humans, we're left with a new strain of flu. Swine flu, like other flu viruses, is an airborne illness spread through the respiratory tract. The symptoms of swine flu are similar to other influenza illnesses, including high fever, body aches, headaches, coughing, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue and chills.
Dr. Heather Armstrong, an emergency medicine pediatrician in Florida, adds that infants may not have all of these symptoms but may manifest fever, irritability, poor appetite, cough or diarrhea.
yeah we didnt vaccinate and our baby never gets sick, all the babys that have them are getting sick all the time. Maybe it's just the parents different life styles and nothing to do with the vaccinations though. But honestly...I think they are fine. Statistics works...(kind of)
Vaccines save lives.
We are so fortunate to have readily available vaccines - a significant advantage of developed countries over underdeveloped countries.
I am heartbroken over a baby that I adore, who is not mine, but just passed away yesterday at 10 months old. She was so special to me and I am so upset. Some of her symptoms were vomiting and fatigue that I am aware of, but truly don't know everything. I know that she has been sick for about a week and a half. I am just beside myself. I wonder if she did in fact have the swine flu.
more mothers should start researhing vaccinations- before getting money for them to do it and thinks its the best for there child google it!!!
My daugther is 15 months old and has the swine flu, I am getting my older two vaccined and would never want them to suffer like my baby is right now.
Its really a personal choice.
