It comes as no surprise that the top favorite piece of baby gear is the baby sling.

"[The sling was] the only way I could get my daughter to take a nap the first four months of life," says Lori Bittenbender, a mom from Dallas, Texas. "I would slip her into the sling and take a walk around the block. By the time we got home, she would be asleep. The sling also allowed me to be hands free to shop for groceries, make my way through an airport and have my daughter take a nap while we were on vacation and not near a bed."
