What's Your Holiday Health Attitude?

If you checked mostly A's, you could be the spokesmodel for holiday overindulgence. Shots to ring in the New Year? No wonder you're dancing on the Xerox! So what if you're consuming enough calories and fat grams for the whole week in one four-hour time span. It's only once a year, right?

Do yourself and everyone else a favor: be honest. Are you overindulging to hide your disdain for the season? Are you really happy after you polish off an entire platter of buckeyes? Are you sober enough to drive home?

Holiday get-togethers are all about getting together. If you spend the night hunched over the dessert table or in a Chablis haze, you're missing out on the real memory- making moments: the voices, smiles and hugs of family and good friends.

If you checked mostly B's
, it really is a wonder how you get invited to these parties in the first place. Hey, healthy is good; few people would fault you for that. But there are extremes, and it looks like you have gone off the cliff.

Any right-minded woman in pursuit of good health would flinch at the sight of so many calories and fat grams, but few would insult their host and sneak off to exercise on party time.

This year, do your friends and family a favor, RELAX! Run before the party and eat fewer calories during the day, so you can "overindulge" that night. Above all, don't say anything that's not in keeping with holiday cheer. If that's too tall an order, maybe you should host your own holiday shindig.
