Why Are Some Experts Recommending Sleep Sacks?

Parents often mistakenly think they need to bundle their babies up more than is necessary. As a general rule, your baby will be comfortable in the same amount of clothing that an adult would wear. If you're concerned about how much clothing to put on your baby, talk to your doctor about what is appropriate. Also, keep in mind that your baby will let you know if he's cold or uncomfortable.
Sleep Tight, Baby
If you're looking for a safe way to keep your baby warm and snug through the night, a sleep sack is the answer. Most are comfortable, easy to use and arguably just as adorable as other comforters and blankets. "Sleep sacks are a great way to keep baby warm while preventing risks of SIDS and suffocation," Reno says. "Parents are still going to buy the cute bumpers and quilts, but we try to stress other uses for those besides bedding."
