Be Sensitive to How Your Partner is Faring
Pride in your own parenting success should not translate to making your partner feel ashamed when he or she doesn't have the touch. You're not competing to see who is the better parent, but rather trying to become the best parenting duo you can. Achieving this goal is easier if you avoid curt phrases like "Give him to me" or "I'll do it." Instead, try saying, "Hey, I found a really good technique for putting him down yesterday. Do you want to hear it?"

The truth is your baby won't have to do much to keep you enthralled. So when people give their two cents, smile politely, then go back to your baby and enjoy how amazing he or she is doing nothing at all.
