Being a Mom

Poetry for Mother's Day and Beyond

Pages:  1  2  3

Oh the things I will do for my sweet little baby
I love her more than life, and I think, just maybe,
Someday soon I'll figure it out
And when I do I will give you a shout .
Yes, one day I'll make it to my lofty goal,
Right now I think I might be on a roll.
She's slept six hours straight and I've not heard a peep.
What am I doing still writing? I should be asleep!

For Moms With Kids of Any Age

Motherhood

By Michele Larkin

So much to do, so little time
Under mom's chair I found a dime
Into my piggy it must go
Because I like to count them so

I point out letters, A, B, C
This one's an 'O' and that a 'P'
Counting steps now, one, two, free
My telephone will follow me

Next a snack of 'nanas and cheese
Then outside to look at trees
Now inside to play with blocks
Then we read 'bout Fox in Socks

So much to do, so little time
Into my crib I now must climb
Time for a nap, but after then
My mom and I do it all again.
