The Effects of Summer Heat on Infants

It's important to remember that it isn't only direct sunlight that can be a problem. Yes, Baby's skin is extremely sensitive to the sun and burns easily, but heat stroke can happen in the shade. And remember that humidity makes the problem worse because the body can't evaporate heat off as effectively if the air around it is already saturated with moisture.
A bit of caution and forethought can go a long way in keeping your baby safe in the summer's sun, and those long, lovely summer days can be yours to enjoy and remember. Just keep plenty of liquids around on ice!
