This Little Baby
This little baby rocked in the cradle.
(Wiggle one arm)
This little baby jumped in the bed.
(Wiggle the other arm)
This little baby crawled on the carpet.
(Wiggle one leg)
This little baby bumped her head.
(Wiggle the other leg)
This little baby played hide 'n seek.
(Move your face close to hers)
Where's that little baby?
(Place your hands over your face)
Oo-oo-ooh peek-a-boo!
(Uncover your face with a great big smile!)

Place Baby on her back, and kneel down toward her. Gently touch her arms and legs while saying the rhyme. When saying "peek-a-boo" make sure that you are making a happy face.

Brain-building skills: Aids in the development of body awareness through tactile stimulation and cause and effect through anticipation and excitement. It will also help her to learn object permanence, which means that when Mommy is out of Baby's sight, she is not necessarily gone.

This is the Way the Ladies Ride
This is the way the ladies ride, ladies ride, ladies ride,
This is the way the ladies ride – trot, trot, trot.
This is the way the gentlemen ride, gentlemen ride, gentlemen ride.
This is the way the gentlemen ride – gallop, gallop, gallop.
This is the way the hunters ride, hunters ride, hunters ride,
This is the way the hunters ride – jump, jump, jump.
This is the way the babies ride, babies ride, babies ride,
This is the way the babies ride – hobble Dee, hobble Dee, hoi!

Sit on the edge of a chair with Baby sitting down on your lap facing outward on your knees. For head and neck support, have Baby's back against your stomach. Slowly bounce your knees to a trotting rhythm for the first two lines.

Thank you for all the good info. I have a 3-month-old little boy and he is my first child. I learned a lot, and thank you for that!
